Beautiful Tiny House shell - Vero Beach, Florida

This hand crafted Tiny House has been built to last. The trailer was custom made ( New ) and has extra girders running front to rear along with Rockwell independent suspension. ( Not leaf springs ). Rockwell suspension has graphs on their website showing how this type of suspension smooths out the ride much quicker than typical leaf springs reducing the stress on the trailer. The box is just under 102" wide and 160" tall which is just under the allowed size for for towing with out a permit on most roads. The 2/7000 pound axles are more than enough to handle the weight. The roof is a Union Metal V5 type. As it stands, the weight is around 6000 pounds, leaving plenty of room for your finishes. The tongue has an 8000 pound manual jack. I added twenty two DOT approved LED running / marker lights to insure others will see you coming and going. Electrical boxes are installed, but can be changed to your preference. As for construction, this unit is built solid. Thermal breaking at all wood to metal contacts and bolted to trailer over 35 times to insure it remains attached under normal conditions. The sheathing is all 1/2"plywood with building wrap and all cedar siding. Hours and weeks were spent hand planning the shingles to insure a nice finish. Every grade "A" shingle was hand nailed to insure proper nail attachment. The siding also has three coats of finish. All the trim is Royal PVC to insure it will never rot and it has a wood grain. The windows are all low E thermal pain for extreme temperatures. The single hung windows tilt in for easy maintenance and cleaning. the bathroom window is obscure glass for privacy. The other windows are awning type to allow ventilation even while it is raining and offer escape routes in case of an emergency. The lower double hungs are large enough to escape in case of an emergency. The entry door is a 32"inswing because I was going to add a storm door to the exterior. It is steel insulated with thermal glass. As for the floor, it is 2 x 4 construction well supported by frame and added cross members. The floor insulation is Rockwool. ( Rockwool insulation is very fire retardant along with a great moisture/mold resistance. ) The floor is 5/8  plywood subfloor and 1/4 underlayment, ready for your finish. Much care and thought went into this project and all materials used were new. I have a bit more work to finish the shell , but unit can be ready for you in about three weeks. It is in my opinion that a 3/4 ton truck could tow this at its present weight and would recommend an anti sway configuration for safety. F250 Super Duty. GMC2500 Heavy Duty. Dodge 2500.
