Off-Grid Tiny House – 200 sq ft RV Home – $87,000 – Honeoye Falls, NY

Off-Grid Tiny House on Wheels | Fully Renovated 30' Vintage Airstream | 1,200W Solar + 600Ah Battery | Composting Toilet | Mini Split
1 / 8
1 bedroom·1 bath·200 sq ft

Designed as a true tiny house on wheels, this 30' 1977 Airstream Excella 500 underwent a complete shell-off renovation, including a brand-new custom steel frame and all-new systems throughout. Unlike many RVs designed primarily for campground hookups and occasional trips, this build was created for intentional living: four-season comfort, extended off-grid capability, low-maintenance systems, and a warm, functional interior that genuinely feels like home.

With 1,200 watts of solar, 600 amp hours of Battle Born lithium batteries, a mini split for heating and cooling, composting toilet, propane oven/stove/hot water heater, and insulated interior fresh and grey water systems, you can comfortably live full-time whether travelling cross-country, parked at an RV site, or completely off-grid. The electrical system is robust enough to run daily essentials entirely from solar for extended periods, giving you freedom from constant hookups or generator dependence. The exterior intentionally retains its original patina rather than a polished finish, giving it a more understated aesthetic that supports more discreet living and travel. From a craftsmanship, systems, and livability standpoint, this Airstream is far beyond what you’ll find in most factory-built RVs.

Ideal for:
– Full-time tiny home living
– Off-grid homesteading or land setups
– Seasonal guest house or ADU use
– Travel and remote work
– Airbnb / short-term rental income

We’ve done it all but are transitioning from being full-time Airstream dwellers to weekend warriors and no longer need an Airstream of this size / capability. We look forward to this airstream continuing its adventures with a new owner!
